• この日だけの大量発生。集団飛来。ごく近隣で牛が飼育されている場所がある可能性はますます高い。
• アフリカ及びインド原産の外来種で、カリフォルニア州上陸にはじまりミズーリ州まで進出（Kaufman Field Guide to Insects of North America 142頁）。
