• 042014。正午頃。WR。展望スポット付近。上記写真の花に潜り込んでいた。レンジャーのPさんによれば、Horehoundの花ではないかとのコメントだったが要確認。
• 上記の餌はフジ林檎。
• Indian Potatoの花にも潜り込んでいたのは確認したので本種と同じものか再度確認しにいくこと。
• 同属では日本にはキボシフナガタタマムシ。
• 玉虫。吉丁虫。

• 04172014。午後２時頃。
• WR。まだ花も少ない"下りトレイル"の側溝近くに咲いていた紫の花でじっとしていた。捕獲後数分は死んだふりをしていた。
• 上記写真の草の名前が分からず。
• 全体としてマットな黒だが、頭部の赤が特徴。
• 頭部の形状はカミキリとは異なりアリやハチに近い印象。
• 林檎を食べる。
• 土斑猫

ゾウムシ（Sphenophorus Curculionidae ）Billbugs

• 2014年3月20日。SMのMP。テニスコート上を生きている状態で捕まえたのだが翌日には死亡。人に踏まれた形跡あり。
• 日本のシバオサゾウムシ同様に、MPの芝に生息している可能性ある。空きコート待ちで座っているときには足下周りをよくよく観察すること。
• テニスコート脇の大きな樹木の葉を採集し、樹皮の撮影し同定すること。

• 2014年3月4日。IWのREIW。プールに浮いていた。リンゴを食べて２週間生存。滞在中、気温は日中80度近くなる毎日。
• 要同定。「Family科：Scarabaeidae (Scarab Beetles)／Subfamily亜科：Cetoniinae (Fruit and Flower Chafers)／Tribe族：Valgini／Genus属：Valgus」との違いが良くわからず、BugFairに向けて標本にしておくこと。Dino-Liteの購入も検討。
